Asset Management System
The term "asset management" refers to the process of managing the capital portfolios of a company by a professional management team. The team can invest capital in any of the following areas.
Fixed Income Securities are investments that provide fixed periodic returns. Since the interest rate on these securities is fixed, there is little risk involved with them. As the saying goes, ?you should not put all your eggs in one basket'.
The same applies to investment portfolios also. These fixed income plans do not have much risk involved. This also means that the income returns may not be that high. But they have a benefit of providing investors with the security of a fixed return at periodic intervals.
Investments in variable income securities have payments that change based on some underlying measures such as short term interest rates.
This means that unlike fixed income securities, investors don't know the payments that they will get from them....

PLUS Loans ? it's never too late to subsidize your child's education costRising. Soaring. Skyrocketing. These are the words that seem to begin every article about college tuition costs ? and they are words guaranteed to make every parent cringe. According to the College Board, costs for the 2004-2005 school year at four-year private colleges are up 6%, while costs at four-year public colleges are up 10.5%.
Scary? Yes. Impossible to handle? No! The good news is that there is more financial aid available than ever before. One of the most interesting financial aid options is the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students, or PLUS Loan. What is a PLUS Loan? PLUS Loans are federal loans taken out by parents to help pay their children's college costs. PLUS Loans offer several advantages: ? Interest rates are adjusted each year, but are consistently kept low.
For the 2004-2005 school year, the interest rate is 4.17%. It is capped to never exceed 9%. ? Financial need...

Fundamentals of Headlines, Copy and Design in Communication
While there are many opinions about what constitutes good headlines, copy and design, most professionals agree that these individual elements of the ad must work together. In combination, they must grab attention, convey a persuasive message and portray a consistent identity. An ad that's too cluttered can't convey a message quickly enough to engage the reader or viewer. One that's out of character with the product or service will be confusing rather than convincing. An effective headline (or a broadcast ad's opening moments) must immediately capture the audience's interest and pull them into the ad. A good rule of thumb is to look for the inherent "drama" in what you are offering, and capitalize on that to create an alluring ad.Examples: "We're Losing Our Minds" -- a university ad appealing for funds. And "You Don't Have to be Jewish to Love Levy's" -- a bread company ad featuring a Chinese man biting into a whopping pastrami sandwich.Next, the photo or illustration amplifies the message....

Do you have trouble keeping to a personal budget? You barely scrape by until the end of the month. Here's some advice about solving some personal problems, which are job skills. You may not have thought of them as such. Buying a car without much money is difficult.
Approach the problem this way. Tell everyone you know that you are looking for a car and have a limited amount of money. Try this approach first, before contacting dealers or looking at ads. Take a class at a community college which will be cheap for either a semester or quarter. Take only one and make it something fun after all.

South Florida Father Making Preparations to Hike the 4,428-mile Eastern Continental Trail from Canada to Key West, Florida
William Bateman, a father of eleven from south Florida and veteran long distance hiker; is launching a national media event called "Hike4Fathers" to draw attention to the importance of fatherhood in America. He is planning to hike the 4,428-mile Eastern Continental Trail from Canada to Key West, Florida beginning mid-May, 2005.Bateman had previously hiked more than 1,000 miles of the famed Appalachian Trail on behalf of Florida's abused and abandoned children in 2002. That experience led him to speak with many men on the trail who lamented missed opportunities to spend more time with their families.Their stories inspired Bateman, who goes by the trail name "Spanky", to put together a second attempt to hike across North America.
He has labeled this effort "Hike4Fathers."
When asked why he is willing to spend more than ten months and taking an estimated ten million steps to hike from Canada to Key West, Florida; his response was as unique as the monumental "Hike4Fathers"...
